Duties and Responsibilities
The Biodesign Institute is seeking a Website Developer – Interaction Designer to prepare a variety of engaging interfaces for web and print needs. The successful candidate must bring skills in website design and ability to integrate between design and needed coding. Specifically, front-end skills are paramount with familiarity in website plumbing/back-end coding necessary to make designs work. Experience needed in layout and creation of quality print materials. This position will be part of the Biodesign Communications team and will design/implement branding for the institute and advise research teams. Creates/designs/produces all forms of digital marketing mediums, including websites, apps, Facebook, email and other digital formats and optimizes to audience behaviors.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communication, Information Technology, Graphic Design, or a related field AND two years of web content, graphic design or electronic publishing including with one (1) year technology diagnostic and trouble-shooting support; OR, Seven years of technology and web related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in: building websites from scratch; implementing design into digital media, web and mobile devices; coding skills using web standards in HTML5, CSS, Javascript (J-query), PhP; designing multimedia projects such as online info-graphics, video and print using Adobe CS6; meeting deadlines, showing attention to detail, and adhering to budget constraints. Demonstrated knowledge of: content management systems, such as Drupal or WordPress; of standards and best graphic design and web practices.
