Days.
Job Summary
Administer the Pell Grant Program to include reconciliation of program expenditures and reporting awards to the U.S. Department of Education. Also works with counselors to ensure that information is entered correctly in ProSam for Pell recipients. Responsible for working with Sponsored Projects Accounting in reconciling the Pell account. Responsible for working with staff at other schools and COD when correcting dual enrollment and transfer issues. Responsible for reviewing students who are flagged for an Unusual Enrollment History. Responsible for keeping abreast of changes in Federal Pell Grant regulations to ensure administrative compliance.

Responsible for Return to Title IV calculations for students who withdraw. Counsels individual students as to how R2T4 affects them. Responsible for ensuring that all aid changes associated with R2T4 post in a timely manner. Reviews and authorizes the release of residual refunds.

Represents the SFAO at financial aid interest sessions, workshops, preview nights and other events as needed.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Must understand the financial aid application process. Must be able to counsel students in-person and via telephone and emails. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software a must. Must be able to format and use Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
Must be organized and efficient. Must maintain records that are orderly and accessible.
Preferred Education / Experience
BA plus 3 years financial aid experience.
