Minimum Qualifications Masters degree from an ALA accredited program or foreign equivalent and two (2) years supervisory experience. Two (2) years of experience working directly in interlibrary loan or circulation services (can be concurrent). Experience with current trends in resource sharing and using ILLiad software. Experience with technologies and systems supporting request and delivery of library materials.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in managing unmediated borrowing services; managing Aleph circulation system; producing screencasts or learning objects; overseeing inventory planning and implementation; and using Aleph or eRes course reserve software.

General Summary Statement: Your initial assignment will include Administrative responsibility for circulation, interlibrary loan, and electronic reserve. Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day operations of all Customer Services’ units to include leadership of planning, project management and marketing for interlibrary loan, course reserves, circulation services, stack maintenance, and customer relations. Hires, trains, develops, supervises, and evaluates Customer Service employees.

Duties
Develops and implements customer-oriented goals, objectives, standards, and policies/procedures; serves as a member of the administrative group; oversees the overall coordination and communication of Customer Service Department activities; and provides leadership in the library as well as services to the university community.

Administrative responsibility for circulation, interlibrary loan, and electronic reserve. Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day operations of all Customer Services’ units to include leadership of planning, project management and marketing for interlibrary loan, course reserves, circulation services, stack maintenance, and customer relations. Hires, trains, develops, supervises, and evaluates Customer Service employees. Collects, analyzes, and reports statistics for all relevant Customer Service units. Plans budget in collaboration with the Associate Director and the team of library department heads. Oversees assessment and outcome measurement for all customer services. Leads the local implementation of the statewide unmediated borrowing service “UBorrow”. Leads engagement with the University and external communities and collaboration with other Florida public academic libraries.
