Kennesaw State University is conducting a national search to fill a Director I position. This person will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the recently established College of Humanities and Social Sciences Undergraduate Advising Center; overseeing the Assistant Director for the Undergraduate Advising Center; hiring and training the staff to support the mission of the Center and liaising with the following in fulfilling the mission of the center: 1) Associate Vice President for Advising, Retention, and Graduation initiatives, 2)Admissions, 3) Registrar, 4) Department Chairs in CHSS, and 5) Other Colleges.
Staffing and coordinating advising activities during orientation sessions; overseeing the development of the maintenance of the UAC website; maintain a database of the Center’s advising activities and providing regular reports; assessing the Center’s contributions to RPG overtime; and engaging in professional development activities related to academic advising and making suggestions for improving the Center.
