Associate Director of Financial Aid

The Associate Director of Financial Aid will be responsible for the day-to-day functions and must have experience with the supervision of staff. This individual will assist the Director of Financial aid in managing systems, in the supervision of staff to ensure deadlines are met and student financial aid is processed in a timely manner.
This individual must understand and have a knowledge of Title IV regulations and the intent of these rules and regulations and thus enable successful compliance. A working knowledge of all Federal databases, i.e., EDE, NSLDS, COD, etc., is required for this candidate.
The Associate Director will work with the Director in the assessment of office policies, procedures, and programs, setting office goals and evaluation of staff performance. The successful candidate will assist in evaluating training needs for the office and in creating training materials. The individual will devise and implement staff development activities, be familiar with Enrollment Service Management, assist with presentations, represent the office at meetings and serve on various University committees, and serve in the absence of the Director of Financial Aid.
Counseling activities and abilities for both the customer and the staff are a must for this position. The individual must be able to read and disseminate financial aid regulations, registers, announcements, and newsletters in an effective and understandable fashion. This individual must be willing to attend state, regional and national conferences and workshops.
Salary commensurate with experience
