Position Summary:
Plan and implement educational training and mentoring programs focusing on diversity issues for the entire University community. Assist Director with the hiring and professional development for full-time, graduate and undergraduate student employee staff. Oversee the unit’s assessment plan and development of programming budget for all staff.
Qualifications/Required Education:
Masters’ degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education or Social Science.
Preferred Education:
Required Experience:
5 years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience working with students of color, developing training and mentoring programs, coordinating professional development and providing advisement.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with students in a college or university setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:(include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Ability to solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:(include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Experience supervising and developing staff, developing and managing budgets, and administering a mentorship program. Knowledge of media and presentation software.
